If you are experiencing any of the symptoms on the diagram, chronic inflammation is most likely to blame. If you are in constant pain or feeling very uneasy, it is important to find the source of the problem. Take a step back and ask — as we do with any health concern — why is this happening? Pain isn’t really your enemy. It’s a signal. Your body uses pain to tell you something is wrong. An injury or imbalance creates inflammation in your body, and your nerves communicate the pain to you, saying, “Stop. Rest. Let it heal, and change whatever you’ve done to create this issue in the first place.” Think of pain as a helpful taskmaster: it lets you know that work needs to be done to correct an imbalance. If you address the underlying cause holistically, you can often eliminate or drastically reduce pain with very little likelihood of side effects. In fact, you’ll probably improve other areas of health as well, because that’s how holistic medicine works! Chronic inflammation can be indicated from the blood reading of: - Monocytes - Basophils - CRP When the cells get injured it causes ACUTE INFLAMMATION which can turn into CHRONIC INFLAMMATION if not treated properly. Chronic inflammation when ignored can turn into a TUMOR. When chronic inflammation occurs it is very important to get started on anti-inflammatory diet and use supplements that can lower the inflammation. Did you know that high cholesterol and liver problems could be related to sleep? Some of my clients can’t understand why their cholesterol is high even if they eat healthy and exercise. Sleeping late and not getting quality sleep is usually the culprit. 💤💤💤💤💤 Here are few tips to remember when it comes to sleep: 1. You should be asleep by 11pm 2. Your liver detoxes and regenerates between 11pm and 2am. It is important to be in deep sleep during this time 3. If you have something which needs to be done urgently it is better to wake up early than go to sleep late 4. Adults need 7-9 hours of sleep 5. Good quality sleep is important for brain function 6. Don’t exercise close to your bed time 7. Avoid mobile phones and computers code to your bed time 8. Salads really don’t get boring when you play around with different ingredients. This was my first time trying Ice Plant Crystal Leaf salad and it was a very refreshing experience. When you bite into the leaf it’s like a water explosion in your mouth. I loved it! Play around with different ingredients and don’t always use the same dressing.
